Many of you may have noticed that the stretch of Route 355 from the shop to the railroad tracks has a sign indicating the Frederick HOG chapter has adopted the road. This means we are required to pick up the trash twice a year.
A huge thank-you to Diane Dantagnan who organized this SWAT detail. Great job! Very well done.
The last couple attempts were rained out, but this year was absolutely beautiful. We had a great turn-out of people, so it didn't take long to police the area. Diane made it fun by hosting a contest for the most interesting trash picked up along the side of the road.
Among the most interesting was a jawbone from a deer, a padlock (with key), and the winner - a Dear John note found by Bill Hester.
Bill won a Harley-Davidson scale model Chevy Tahoe pulling a trailer with H-D Heritage Softtail on it. |

Frank is smartly dressed in an efficient yet brassy H-D baseball cap that nicely complements his "bad boy" shades. He solidifies the theme by nonchalantly tucking an extra trashbag into his H-D belt buckle while sauntering along grasping the brilliant orange "official" SWAT trash bag. The orange safety vest he is wearing completes the outfit nicely, however, the pointed trash stabber grasped in his hand and the official "biker" chaps put him securely over the top. Well done, Frank! |
